KT Grows Organic is a Farm House located in Phillipe Region, in the South West of Cape Town. This Pilot Forest started with only 18sqm. We invite people to volunteer in preparation of the soil and planting day. We see the enthusiastic response from the community to be a part of Rewilding Cape Town.
This Pilot Forest serves as a powerful reminder of the tremendous positive impact that rewilding can have on our planet. It demonstrates that even a small patch of land can be transformed into a thriving ecosystem that can support a variety of flora and fauna.

The Miyawaki method of afforestation, which emphasizes planting a diverse range of indigenous trees in a closely packed manner, has been successful in creating this forest. The presence of bird nests, hairy worms, snails, and ants in the forest is a testament to the effectiveness of this method.
The rewilding of our planet is crucial at this point in time, as human activities have caused widespread damage to the environment and the loss of biodiversity. By restoring natural habitats and increasing the number of plants and animals in ecosystems, we can help mitigate the effects of climate change and promote a more sustainable future.
